Photograph Collections
The Photograph Collections include photographs from the Visual Identification Project (VIP), obtained from a number of repositories in the U.S. and Europe for identification or supplemental information. These photographs document the people, places and activities on the Pine Ridge Reservation, ca. 1900-1940.
Also included are: Oglala Lakota College (OLC): This collection documents various graduations, buildings, events, students, and faculty of OLC. Oglala Sioux Tribe (OST): Photographs received from or pertaining to the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Collections: Photographs found in a larger collection or photographs donated as a photographic collection to the OLC Archives. These are listed by collection name. General: Photographs donated or collected by the OLC Archives that are not part of a larger collection. These images range from the late 1800s to the present day and are of or about Oglala Lakota people, events and places.
